To raise money for, create awareness of, and promote fostering/adoption/fundraising for senior dogs and cats through rescues in the Central Virginia area. We envision that no senior dog or cat will be homeless or sheltered and that no senior dog or cat will be euthanized as long as quality of life is maintainable. We value the lives of all companion animals. We respect the caretakers of these animals and operate with understanding and respect in regard to anyone who must re-home an animal.

WHO WE ARE
Sally Byrd has been a long-time supporter and caretaker of senior dogs, starting with Penny, a Treeing Walker Coonhound seen here with Sally back in 2004. Since then, many dogs have been lucky to call Sally "Mom". These days, the pack includes Charlie the miniature poodle, Happy, the teacup poodle, Stanley the chihuahua, and Frances the beagle. The Olde Timers Thrift Bus came about to combine Sally's love of old dogs with her love of old things.
Chris is Sally's long-suffering husband and constant support to her cockamamie plans. He is semi-retired as a technical trainer, so while not traveling the country teaching software, he helps Sally with the Olde Timers Thrift Bus. Sally and Chris are also real estate investors in Richmond and have several rental properties in the area.
